Mission Statement:
The Youth in Ministry at Discover Christian Church exists to equip our middle school and high school students with a strong faith that is theirs rather than inherited.
Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Typical weekly events include:
- Sunday School during the 10:30 Service Time
- 1st Sunday – 6:00p to 8:00p - Student led Worship, Food and Fellowship
- 2nd through 4th(5th) Sunday– 6:00p to 8:00p - LifeGroups
- Thursday 6:00p to 9:00p - One80 – (High School) Fellowship Time
LifeGroups are our students’ small groups. They are grouped by gender and grade level (middle school and High school). They spend time in study and discussion. This is an excellent opportunity to gain deep friendship with fellow students and the adult leaders.
High School Special Events
- Lock-in: December 30, 9:00 – 9:00a. $15 – Fun, Fellowship, Food (Pizza, snacks, breakfast)
- Spring Retreat at Round Lake Christian Camp: March 9 – 11. Est. $90.
- 30 Hour Famine: April 27-28
- CIY Move: June 18 – 22: Hope College in Michigan. Est $450.
Middle School Special Events
- CIY Believe: February 24 – 25 in Cincinnati. Est. $125 Necessary Form: CIY Medical Release Form
- Spring Retreat at Round Lake Christian Camp: March 30 – April 1. Est. $90.
- MS Mission Trip to Children’s Christian Home of Ohio: May TBD
- MS Camp at RLCC: July 2 – 6.
